Born in Hokkaido, Japan · Painting & Mixed Media
アクリル、樹脂、光、時間の痕跡を重ねながら、記憶や感覚の奥に存在する"言葉になる前の気配"を作品として表現している。空間と共鳴する作品制作を特徴とし、絵画と立体表現の境界を横断しながら独自の表現を展開。
Working with acrylic, resin, light, and the traces of time, SOU captures what exists before words — a presence felt deep within memory and sensation. Known for works that resonate with the space around them, SOU moves fluidly across the boundary between painting and three-dimensional expression.
In 2026, SOU exhibited at Artexpo New York, and held a solo exhibition at ARTI FACT in SoHo, New York. A solo exhibition is also planned at MUSEUM Dan Gerbo Contemporary Art in Mulhouse, France, by invitation.
Rooted in the Japanese sense of stillness, negative space, and light, SOU creates and exhibits both in Japan and internationally.
